Times Of Swaziland: ‘SIKHALI’ MADE ME BEST COACH - ‘MADZE’ ‘SIKHALI’ MADE ME BEST COACH - ‘MADZE’ ================================================================================ BY ASHMOND NZIMA on 03/11/2017 01:27:00 MBABANE – Former Sihlangu coach Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga says goal-poacher Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa has helped to shape his coaching career. The forward, who is recovering from a head injury, is among the top 30 players shortlisted for the African Player of the Year- based in Africa award. Following the announcement on Wednesday, social media sites were abuzz and the reputable gaffer also reacted to the developments on Facebook, saying the player made him one of the best coaches to lead the national team, Sihlangu. “I helped him rediscover his form after being a bench warmer for most of the 2014/15 season at his club, and in return he made me one of the best coaches ever to lead the national team, Sihlangu Semnikati. “Congratulations on your nomination for African Player of the Year based in Africa,” posted Bulunga. ‘Sikhali’ was in the forceful Sihlangu side that won a bronze medal in last year’s Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Senior Championships. The team was under the tutelage of Bulunga, whose contract was surprisingly not renewed in September last year. The National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS), in a statement, also celebrated ‘Sikhali’s nomination. “This is a symbol of growth in the standard of football in the country and also, this nomination promotes our brand. “The NFAS wishes him (Ndzinisa) the best of luck,” reads the statement. The winner will be decided by votes from the Head Coaches/Technical Directors of the National Associations affiliated to CAF, members of the CAF Technical and Development Committee and a panel of media experts. The Awards Gala will be held on January 4, 2018 in Accra, Ghana.
