Times Of Swaziland: SUPPORTERS REJECT NEW MC SUPPORTERS REJECT NEW MC ================================================================================ BY ASHMOND NZIMA on 14/09/2017 01:51:00 MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers supporters almost jumped out of their skins in shock when they learnt about the team’s new Management Committee through the media yesterday. Manzini Wanderers Directors, through Sandile ‘Chief’ Dlamini, announced a new-look MC that is still headed by General Manager Patrick Gamedze. Pat Mahlalela returned to occupy the post of CEO. The supporters are hot under the collar following the latest developments as they claim they have been betrayed by the leadership. Wanderers National Supporters Committee (NSC) Chairman Majayivane Dlamini said the team was undergoing a restructuring process following a decision to change it to an association and the move to appoint an MC was offside. He said an interim committee, to be headed by former player and erstwhile Mbabane Mayor, Sikhatsi Dlamini, had been recommended to the directors to keep the fires burning. “The supporters are angry as they are part of the restructuring process. They felt the list they submitted to the directors was rejected. “We only learnt through the media about the new MC. As the NSC, we will meet today and then report back to the supporters,” said Majayivane. The supporters said they were not entirely challenging the members of the MC, but the appointing authority (directors). According to the list of the supporters, which is made up of over 15 members former goalkeeper Basil Mthethwa was recommended for the managerial post.
