Times Of Swaziland: TATA DLAMINI CLINCHES AUGUST MTN MASTERS TITLE TATA DLAMINI CLINCHES AUGUST MTN MASTERS TITLE ================================================================================ BY SANELE JELE on 13/08/2017 10:14:00 MBABANE – “If you have an ace up your sleeve, you have something in reserve with which you can gain an advantage and obtain success.” After emerging as the champions of the July edition Tata Dlamini and his brother Xolani have lived up to the expectations to win the August edition of the MTN Monthly Masters. The monthly tournament was played at Mbabane Golf Course yesterday where a field of 56 golfers participated. The pair carded an impressive 51 points to emerge winners of the E135 000 MTN sponsored tournament. It was played in a American Scramble format. “We combined very well with my brother and I am happy that we managed to defend it together this time around. It was not easy though but we enjoyed ourselves through-out the day. I have been playing golf for over 4years and I can say I have grown as I started from handicap 24 and now I am on 10,” Dlamini said. Tata was also the winner of the nearest pin8/17 in the novelties category. Coming second was the pair of Mbabane Golf Captain Kenneth Nkambule and Mduduzi Maphalala who scored an excellent score of 50 points. Veteran golfer Sam Richards and Wandile Ntombini came third on 49 points while Cosmo Mtsetfwa and Veli Dludlu beat the duo of Sive Dlamini and Sifiso Dhlamini to the fourth spot after a count back on 48 points. Mbabane Golf Captain Kenneth Nkambule thanked all golfers for registering in time. “Firstly I would like announce that my captaincy term is coming to an end this month, I would like to thank the MTN team for being corporative during my team, it was always a pleasure to work with them. Secondly I want to thank golfers for always making the tournament a success, without them it would have not been a success,” Nkambule said. Meanwhile MTN Senior Manager Business Segment Meshack Maseko thanked golfers for their continued interest in partaking in the tournament. “It has always been a pleasure to be involved with golfers; it has been exciting working with golfers because they are friendly and welcoming. We applaud golfers for their continued support and we urge them to continue to support us, we have new affordable products here, for post paid and contract subscribers,” Maseko said.
