MBABANE – There is just no stopping Mbabane Swallows in the Dixies Futsal
Under-13 League.
Lungani Mngometulu was their hero when they beat Top Score on Saturday at the
Portuguese Club inside the Capital City as he netted a quadruple. He was their
source of inspiration in the 5-4 win that saw them retain the top spot after
three consecutive wins.
They are on top of the log with nine points boasting of 20 goals scored. Coming
second are Mandla Mahewu on six points after crushing Remax 10-0 while defending
champions Supa Nax were denied three points after they lost 3-5 to newcomers
Augusta Oil. Augusta jumped to the third spot after the victory from the
basement of the log.
Back to the Swallows’ game, the winning side proved too strong in the second
half, which is where they turned on the heat to win the pulsating encounter. The
score by the end of the first stanza was 3-2 in favour of Top Score.
After getting instructions from Manager Mduduzi Masilela the red and white
ensemble scored three quick goals to annex the maximum points. All thanks to
undoubted man of the match Lungani Mngometulu who netted a quadruple to inspire
his side to victory.
