In an interview with SABC radio Ligwalagwala on Wednesday, the club incumbent chairman of the directors, said it was within their responsibility to do everything possible needed to win against their unbeaten sworn rivals Mbabane Swallows in the rescheduled last match of the MTN League. Anything less than victory in the game will condemn the club to the National First Division League, for the second time in about four years. The capital city giants’ relegation threat has attracted interest from across the region. Jele, when then quizzed yesterday on the interview said, “We will do everything to retain the elite league status but if we fail we will accept our fate. We will, however, reinforce the team significantly next season irrespective of the division that we will be playing in. He went to say that whether the team was relegated or not, it would not perish. “We assured supporters in our last meeting that Highlanders will always live on, whether we are relegated or not. We are in a process of rebuilding the team and part of the rebuilding process will involve beefing up the squad,” added Jele. He was non-committal when asked if they would retain the coach Rodney ‘Stumbo’ Charles. “Well we will decide on the technical bench after the last game.
