Times Of Swaziland: PLS COO PAT IN NASTY CRASH PLS COO PAT IN NASTY CRASH ================================================================================ BY ASHMOND NZIMA on 17/02/2017 01:14:00 MBABANE – Premier League of Swaziland COO Pat Vilakati is lucky to be alive after surviving a nasty crash yesterday. The seasoned football administrator lost control of his office’s Corsa Utility van around Mahlanya near Lobamba and sustained a cut on the head, among other injuries. He was rushed to Mbabane Government Hospital, where he was treated and discharged. PLS Executive Member Peter ‘Touch’ Magagula also confirmed the unfortunate incident, wishing Vilakati a speedy recovery. “He had forgotten something and was going back to collect it when the unfortunate accident happened. The slippery road might have contributed to the accident. The car veered off the road and rolled three times,” said Magagula. The car on the other hand, was badly damaged, with its windscreen smashed. The extent of the damage could not be quantified at the time of compiling this report. “Vilakati is the face of the organisation as he performs the day-to-day activities at the office. We hope he will recover on time,” said Magagula. Several attempts to get comments from Vilakati were fruitless by last night. Meanwhile, Vilakati, who is a former Manzini Regional Football Association secretary, joined the organisation over a year ago after his administration skills in Manzini caught the eye of the football elite office’s officials. He is the PLS’s only senior office administrator since the office of the chief executive officer remains vacant following the departure of John Mazibuko in the past year.
