Times Of Swaziland: I’M NOT COMING BACK TO SD – EX-‘BIRDS’ NGWERUME I’M NOT COMING BACK TO SD – EX-‘BIRDS’ NGWERUME ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 07/01/2015 02:06:00 MBABANE – Having ended the year on a bad note as he lost his job at Mbabane Swallows in December, Zimbabwean midfielder Alois Ngwerume is not about to return to the country. The former South Africa PSL side Moroka Swallows midfielder who got little game time at Umkhonto KaShaka (the local Swallows) but always made a difference when he played, said he was not prepared to play in Swaziland again. Speaking from Cape Town, South Africa yesterday, he made it clear that while he understood there was some interest from one of the forces’ teams’ coaches, he was not ready. “I don’t think I’ll be coming back there my brother. I’m humbled that there is a coach who admired my football but I’m with my family now and relaxing,” he said. The midfielder was told that one of the top coaches in the forces’ sides was interested in his services. “I’m in Cape Town with my family but won’t be coming back,” he said. Asked if he had any plans or offers from South African teams or even back home, he said for now he would be going home for a while and then on return to South Africa he will sit down with his agent. He said he would know the way forward once he had met with his people over his next move but Swaziland was not an option. The termination of his contract also meant that he will not be part of the Swallows team when they play Zambia’s Zesco United next month in the CAF Champions League.
