12 NEW CASES, 19 NEW RECOVERIES

MBABANE – Only 12 new COVID-19-related cases were recorded yesterday, bringing
the number of positive cases to 5 431 in the country.
The cases were confirmed by the Minister of Health, Lizzie Nkosi, yesterday,
while there were no deaths recorded. The cases were recorded from 142 test
results. Manzini Region recorded six new cases and Hhohho Region recorded three
while Lubombo Region had three cases.
There were no cases recorded in the Shiselweni Region.
There were two asymptomatic cases and 10 mild cases. By gender, there are
currently 2 895 female cases in total while males are 2 536. There were no cases
reported in the zero to nine age bracket, while there was only one in the 10 to
19 years and there were two in the bracket of 60 to 69 years.
There were 19 new recoveries that were registered yesterday. The total number of
recoveries now stands at 4 821. This means that active cases are 502 while
deaths remain at 108.
The difference between active cases and recoveries is 4 319 in favour of the
latter.
