Times Of Swaziland: 2 NEW COVID-19 DEATHS, TOTAL 65 2 NEW COVID-19 DEATHS, TOTAL 65 ================================================================================ BY MELISA MSWELI on 14/08/2020 02:20:00 MBABANE – The Ministry of Health announced two new COVID-19-related deaths yesterday, raising the death toll to 65 in the country. The cases were confirmed by the Minister of Health, Lizzie Nkosi. The deaths were both from the Hhohho Region and they were recorded on the same day. One was a woman and the other a man aged 44 and 67 respectively. The first death was of the 67-year-old man from the Hhohho Region. He died at one of the hospitals on Wednesday while being managed for COVID-19 disease, according to the minister. The other death was of a 44-year-old woman from the Hhohho Region, who died at one of the country’s hospitals while undergoing treatment for a COVID-19 disease. Meanwhile, there were 74 new COVID-19 cases that were recorded yesterday. The cases were discovered from 543 tests. This means that the total number of COVID-19 cases is 3 599. Manzini Region recorded 30 while Hhohho had 29 and 10 from Shiselweni while Lubombo Region had five. Also, asymptomatic cases were 35; those with a mild disease were 34 while four presented with a moderate disease and one had severe symptoms. By gender, there are 1 912 females cases in total while males are 1 687. The youngest reported cases yesterday were five in the zero to nine age bracket and the oldest was one in the 80 years and above. There were 81 new recoveries that were registered yesterday. The total number of recoveries now stands at 1 991. This means that active cases are 1 543 while deaths are 65.
