Times Of Swaziland: 25 RECOVERIES, 12 NEW CASES IN TWO DAYS 25 RECOVERIES, 12 NEW CASES IN TWO DAYS ================================================================================ BY MELISA MSWELI on 22/05/2020 00:51:00 MBABANE - In just two days, the country has recorded a total of 25 recoveries of COVID-19 patients. This was confirmed by the Health Minister, Lizzie Nkosi, in statements released on Wednesday and yesterday. She said this when announcing 12 new cases on Wednesday and yesterday respectively, bringing the total of confirmed cases to 220. On Wednesday, recoveries stood at 97 and yesterday an additional 15 were announced. This means that from the 220 confirmed cases, people who are currently positive for the virus are 106. Worth noting is that the number of recoveries has been increasing since last week. Of the 12 new cases, nine were confirmed positive on Wednesday and three were confirmed yesterday. From the cases confirmed on both days, 11 are from the Manzini Region and the other is from the Hhohho Region. The 12 cases are from ages between 16 and 34, which is the working age bracket. Of the total 220 cases, Manzini Region alone has 133 cases, followed by Hhohho with 53 while Lubombo has 27 and seven are from the Shiselweni Region. As things stand, there are more recoveries than positive cases.
