Times Of Swaziland: ESWATINI ROADS A DEATH TRAP - MOTORISTS ESWATINI ROADS A DEATH TRAP - MOTORISTS ================================================================================ Melisa Msweli on 16/01/2020 08:20:00 MBABANE – Dilapidated! This is how the current state of the country’s roads has been described by motorists. They stated that the roads were soon becoming a death trap and a crying shame to investors who wished to invest in the country. In some of the highways of the country, potholes are deep enough to swallow half an average car tyre. Along Malagwane Hill, there is one pothole that has been affecting motorists so much that they even expressed their concerns on social media. Worst Other roads include the King Mswati II Highway that runs from Motshane to Pigg’s Peak which is said to be the worst road when it comes to potholes. Serious accidents, where lives were lost, have also occurred along that particular road in the past years. Residents of Motshane said they would now and again receive people asking for assistance to repair or change their tyres saying they hit a pothole and their tyres got damaged. The residents stated that it was becoming worse when even tourists would experience same and that had elements of killing the tourism industry in the country. It is the same case even on roads around the city, including that from the Mbabane Government Hospital to the ministerial buildings via His Majesty’s Correctional Services, towards Nkwalini.
