Times Of Swaziland: BABY DADDY HELD FOR MURDER OF SOMNJALOSE WOMAN BABY DADDY HELD FOR MURDER OF SOMNJALOSE WOMAN ================================================================================ Sibusiso Shange on 10/10/2019 09:07:00 MBABANE - Sleepless nights are over for the family of the late Simphiwe Zulu. Simphiwe is the 20-year-old woman of Somnjalose in Ezulwini who was stabbed to death allegedly by the father of her four children, who was employed as a security guard. In an interview yesterday, the family registered their hope that they would have peace of mind after the arrest of Thokozani Gwebu (37) of Malindza in connection with the murder of Simphiwe. The family alleged that they had been receiving death threats since Simphiwe was stabbed to death while on her way home from church last Friday night. Misunderstanding This, they said, was after she had a misunderstanding with the father of her children, who allegedly demanded to see one of them (children) prior to the incident. “We had been receiving calls from a man, who we believe to be Simphiwe’s boyfriend, ever since she was killed. The caller threatened to come back for us hence we had sleepless nights. Surprisingly, he asked me to convey his greetings to Simphiwe as if nothing had happened,” said the late Simphiwe’s mother, Phumzile Dlamini. The unemployed elderly woman mentioned that she was left with the burden of looking after the children, who were taken care of by Simphiwe, before she met her death. “I am confused about what to do with these children because they solely depended on their mother,” Dlamini said while fighting back tears. Meanwhile, the late Simphiwe’s family felt strongly that the accused person allegedly had accomplices during the commission of the offence. They alleged that the accused person came with two men who remained in the car they were travelling in while he (accused) searched for Simphiwe. “The men were overheard asking a group of women if Simphiwe was among them. At the time, the car was parked a short distance away from the accused and Simphiwe was following the women from a short distance. The accused requested to talk to Simphiwe concerning one of the children. Simphiwe turned her head; little did she know that the accused would stab her in the left side of her neck,” alleged one of the family members.
