TEACHERS IN ACCIDENT ON WAY TO MOURN FORMER PM

MBABANE – Teachers who were on their way to mourn the death of the former
prime minister, had a minor scare yesterday.
This was after the bus they were travelling in was involved in a minor accident
when it collided with a sedan. The accident occurred near Power Station along
the Pigg’s Peak Road.
The group of about 20 Ngwenya Primary School teachers were on board the bus to
mourn the demise of the former Prime Minister Sibusiso Barnabas Dlamini,who was
the husband to Primrose Dlamini.
Primrose is the Head teacher at Ngwenya Primary.

Deputy Head teacher at the school, Makhosazane Malambe confirmed that almost
half of the teachers who were on their way to mourn the demise of the former PM
were involved in an accident.  Malambe said no one was injured during the
accident and the teachers managed to continue with their trip. Police were also
called to attend to the scene. Chief Police Information and Communications
Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, confirmed the accident.
Superintendent Vilakati said the minor accident occurred between the bus which
was ferrying the teachers and a Toyota RunX. She said there were no injuries
reported.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, nearly 60 members of the women’s regiment (lutsango)
visited the homestead where they passed their condolences to the family of the
late former PM.
It was gathered that they were from different areas including Pigg’s Peak,
Nkhaba and Bulembu.
A strict protocol was in place to ensure that their names were recorded for the
purpose of knowing which areas they were from. Since the PM’s demise, the area
surrounding Ndzingeni Nazarene Mission has been a hive of activity, as his
residence is situated in the same vicinity There will be a state funeral for
Dlamini which will start with a memorial service at the Southern Africa Nazarene
University (SANU) Sports Ground in Manzini tomorrow at 11am.
The funeral will be held at Dlamini’s parental home at Ndzingeni, starting
with a service at the Ndzingeni Church of the Nazarene on Saturday at 9am. It
was also announced yesterday that there would be no vigil prior to the funeral.
