CHAOS AS IMBALI GOES CRAZY  OVER GENERATIONS ACTOR

LUDZIDZINI – His intention was to witness the Umhlanga Reed Dance Ceremony but
little did he know that his presence would end up causing chaos.
South African heartthrob Vuyo Dabula almost caused a stampede at the Umhlanga
Reed Dance Ceremony yesterday.
The actor, who is popular for his role as Gaddafi Phakade on the daily soapie
Generations: The Legacy, had maidens and members of the public going crazy.
Dabula, who was in the company of local musician and poet Qibho Intelektual had
the maidens abandoning their dance routine to try and get closer to him.
Unlike other South African celebrities who were properly ushered into the VIP
section, the actor chose the general section and it took just a few minutes
before he was noticed by his fans who started screaming and pushing closer to
him.
The screams were so loud that they invited those of the maidens who were dancing
in the arena.
Instead of focusing on the dancing, the attention shifted to the actor, with
some of the maidens literally rushing to get to where he was.
Efforts made by Master of Ceremonies of the day Wendy Hleta to calm down the
fans, who were mainly maidens, proved futile as they continued screaming and
taking pictures of the actor.
“Kuba khona kwemlingisi akusho kutsi sale nibanga umsindvo. Naye lomlingisi
akakhuteke,” Hleta said which means, “The presence of an actor should not
make people disturb the event. The actor himself should behave.”
Police
Seeing that the situation was getting out of hand, members of the Royal Eswatini
Police Service came to the rescue and politely requested the actor to leave.
About eight police officers had to escort him out of the arena while at the same
time trying to block the fans who were pushing and shoving to lay their hands on
the hearthrob. As they escorted him, the police had to control his excited fans
who were seemingly prepared to go with him.  Some maidens shouted that they were
ready to go wherever he was being escorted to.
“Siyolala lakayolala khona Gadaffi,” the maidens screamed in vernacular
which means, “We are going to sleep where he will sleep.”
The police escorted him to the parking area of the royal residence where he got
inside a South African registered silver BMW X6.
He was assisted by local South Africa-based television star, Simphiwe Ncongwane
to relax.
As he chilled inside the car, some of the excited fans stood outside, calling
his name.
Again, the police made all efforts to get them to walk away and return to the
arena.
