EZULWINI – If you are a resident of Ezulwini and surrounding areas, you have
no excuse not to go to church as evening services will be introduced soon.
Starting from July 1, the Destiny International Christian Centre, under Reverend
David Chaliyumba will host evening services, starting from 5:30pm.
Reverend Chaliyumba said he had seen the need to introduce evening services to
accommodate those who work on Sunday mornings and found themselves missing
services.
Chaliyumba said the area had a number of people who could not attend church in
the morning due to work commitments.
He said this group of people comprised those who worked in hotels and
restaurants.

Further, he said even security guards who worked the nightshift and slept during
the day could pass through church while going to work for their evening shifts.
He said those who knock off from their morning shifts could also come.
According to Chaliyumba, a number of  people had approached him concerning
evening services as they felt the needed to fellowship.
“The evening service is going to be interdenominational every Sunday from
5:30pm to 7:30pm,” said Chaliyumba.
He said even those who missed church in the morning for different reasons would
now get a chance to come to church in the evening.
According to Chaliyumba, some people missed church because they had to attend
funerals and they could now easily come to church following the additional
service.

Currently, he said the first service, which was an English Medium, started at
8am to 9:45am, the second service conducted in both siSwati and English started
at 10am to 12:30pm and the third one would be from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
He said everyone was welcome to the church as it was not only meant for church
members but open to all.
Chaliyumba said during the evening services they would have more time to pray
for the sick and people with different problems.
“I love people to be well balanced and not only come to church for what they
can get from God but to come to worship Him for who He is,” Chaliyumba said.
He said God was good and would always give us what we needed but our
relationship with him should not be based on what we could get from Him.
