Times Of Swaziland: MOURNERS ARRIVE IN NUMBERS MOURNERS ARRIVE IN NUMBERS ================================================================================ BY THEMBINKOSI MAVIMBELA on 18/01/2018 00:59:00 MBABANE – The impact a person had in a place is usually seen after he or she has left. This proves true for murdered businessman Victor Gamedze, who died on Sunday after he was shot at close range by an unknown man. Mourners at the Gamedze home in Dalriach continued to flock in to pay their last respects and also pass their condolences to the deceased’s family. Some mourners came in groups while others came as individuals. They sang gospel songs as they entered the house with their faces faced to the ground and then prayed. The word of God was shared with the family to give them comfort during this trying time. Unlike the scenario that unfolded on Sunday at the Mbabane Burial, mourners were not heard crying hysterically. However, family members were seen regularly making calls presumably in preparation for the funeral. A press conference that was to be held in the afternoon was eventually cancelled for undisclosed reasons. Some of the people who were seen at the home included the Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Khulani Mamba, Royal Leopard Public Relations Officer Frank Hurube and Dumisani Sibandze. Mamba was in a meeting with the family although he declined to say what it was about. Even when sought for comment on issues pertaining to their investigations, he declined to comment. Other prominent people who were at Gamedze’s home yesterday also included the Minister of Labour and Social Security Winnie Magagula, Deputy Senate President Ngomuyayona Gamedze, Siphofaneni Member of Parliament Gundwane Gamedze and Reverend David Chaliyumba.
