Times Of Swaziland: IS CJ WAITING FOR KING TO RETURN? IS CJ WAITING FOR KING TO RETURN? ================================================================================ BY JOSEPH ZULU on 26/04/2015 04:55:00 MBABANE – The Chief Justice Michael Ramodibedi is said to have said all this would not be happening if his Majesty King Mswati III was in the country. This was revealed by some of the security personnel standing guard outside his house, waiting to effect a warrant of arrest. This had some of the security officers wondering if he was waiting for the King to return before he hands himself over to the police. The King travelled to Indonesia to attend the Bandung Conference for Asian and African countries. The chief justice is said to have stated that the only person he trusts was His Majesty the King. He has continued to lock himself inside his house despite pleas from the police national commissioner’s representatives and high commissioner from Lesotho Eveline Letooane. He locked himself in last Saturday and it has been over a week to date. On Friday, Ramodibedi turned 70 years behind locked doors with several police officers waiting outside his door. He was born on April 24, 1945 according to information obtained online. He reached a milestone but there were no celebrations often synonymous with such an attainment. The chief justice has not surrendered himself despite pleas by senior police officers who visited his residence last Tuesday begging him to do so. By yesterday, Ramodibedi and his family had spent eight days inside his house in fear that he would be arrested as soon as he left his house. The water supply to his house is also reported to have been officially disconnected yesterday.
