Times Of Swaziland: MALAWI PUBLICATIONS SAY PROPHET BUSHIRI IS A FAKE MALAWI PUBLICATIONS SAY PROPHET BUSHIRI IS A FAKE ================================================================================ BY STANLEY KHUMALO on 10/07/2014 04:15:00 MBABANE – Some Malawian publications say Prophet Shepherd Bushiri is a fake. The Zodiak Online in an article titled ‘Bushiri Lies to Congregation, Threatens to Make Zodiak Reporter Blind’, said the prophet lied to the congregation and claimed that among the worshippers there was a Zodiak Online journalist investigating him. The article was published on July 16, 2012 by Studio 13 Magazine. The publication also refers to Buhshiri as a ‘self acclaimed Major Prophet’ who made these allegations on a Sunday at Masintha ground in Lilongwe. However, the publication reads that among the group there was none of their journalists yet the congregation was reportedly made to believe the ‘prophesy’ from the man of God. People who attended the prayer service quoted Bushiri as saying; “There is a Zodiak reporter here. He is here to investigate me on financial matters. Just come out yourself (sic) before I step down to expose you. Anyway, I will not do that.” They alleged Bushiri further indicated that he would make the journalist blind. Another publication, Malawi Today, in an article published on November 1, 2011, alleged that Bushiri was hosted in Botswana by a church which had deported its Zambian prophet for a number of misconducts. It is alleged that in the church Bushiri told the congregants that a dark cloud was cast over Botswana where no servant of God would want to visit that country in the near future. Bushiri is said to have been accompanied by the disgraced prophet to the church where he further questioned the faith of the people of Botswana and said they should soften their hearts and accept repentance. Local pastors, prophets and apostles, when contacted to comment on the allegations levelled against Bushiri, had different things to say. Prophet Khulani Mamba said, “I have no comment my friend.” Prophet Nkosingiphile Dlamini of the Bread of Life Ministries said: “A prophet is never appreciated in his own country but instead sabotaged while Apostle Jeremiah Dlamini said he wouldn’t want to comment much on the issue. “The people who were present during his visit to Swaziland could probably say something on the matter. Otherwise, I can’t say much,” he said. Prophet Bushiri is the very same prophet who said Funekile Gule was not mauled by dogs but was gang-raped and killed by five men, one of whom he singled out as a certain Thokozani. Prophet Nkosingiphile said a prophet cannot freely perform God’s duties in his country as his people keep sabotaging and criticising him. He said people would say all sort of negative things about the prophet. “As far as I know him, he is a real prophet being used by God. The one major problem is that the people of your country become an obstacle as they keep on criticising you and your prophecies,” said prophet Nkosingiphile.
