Times Of Swaziland: Senators congratulate king on COMESA chairmanship Senators congratulate king on COMESA chairmanship ================================================================================ BANELE DLAMINI on 14/09/2010 00:00:00 LOBAMBA- Senators have congratulated His Majesty King Mswati III for assuming the chairmanship of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). Senators said the king brings with him a wealth of experience to the position. They have urged the country to exploit the position in order to tap into advanced communication and trade opportunities. Senator Themba Msibi said the recent COMESA Summit was a success. "We hope we will benefit from trade with other African countries. We also hope we will take advantage of the opportunities that the chairmanship comes with," he said. Senator Prince Kusa said Senate should send people to formally congratulate the king and pledge the full support of the House. "Swaziland will get recognition and COMESA could be our road to the first world status, especially through communication and trade," said Senator Winnie Magagula. Meanwhile, Senate President, Chief Gelane Zwane applauded the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Jabulile Mashwama, for her role in organising the COMESA Summit. "You did a good job and made us proud as senators. It was also the first time that we were accorded such attention. We hope other ministers learn from you," said Zwane. ------------------------- Comments Being congratulated is something good and nice but we should bear in our minds that we have to accept criticism also. Its natural and I don't see anything wrong about being criticized; the only thing you have to do is to mend your ways. Sep 14, 2010, 12:17 PM, londiwe (londiwev@live.co.za)
