MBABANE – Local gospel group Shongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group has released its
18th album.
The group led by Reverend Elias Shongwe, which recently thrilled gospel music
lovers during the Swaziland International Trade Fair Second Gospel Sunday
released the album titled ‘Kungumusa KaJesu’ a week ago.
The new project follows another album titled ‘Kuyasiza Ukuzekhuza’ that
became a hit to most gospel music lovers.
The group’s latest 16 track album features songs such as ‘Izethembiso
Zenkhosi’, ‘Isiphambano’, ‘Izakumangalisa Inkhosi’, ‘Imvuselelo
KaJesu’, ‘Angali Nkhosi’, ‘Uphi Lazaru’, ‘Konke Kuhamba Kahle’,
and ‘Kwendze Ujesu’.
Others are ‘Esihlalweni SaJesu’, ‘Sathane Unamanga’, ‘Udlala
Ngomlilo’, ‘Mefiboshethi’, ‘Akakasho’, ‘Hlalani KuJesu’ and
‘Siyabonga Yahwe’.
The album was produced by Shongwe under his company known as Shongwe Music
Production which is also responsible for its distribution.
Shongwe thanked the public for the support given to the group for the past 18
years.
“As a group, we are excited that we have been able to release so many albums.
The album we have just released is our 18th album and in as far as we are
concerned, the group is still growing,” he said.
He said the album was already available in various music outlets, urging the
public to get themselves a copy.
“The group is famous for accommodating everyone and we have tried to see to it
that this happens even on this album. This is one of the best albums and we are
excited to have it released at this time of the year,” he said.
Shongwe said at the moment they were still promoting the album in and out of the
country as it has just been released.
“I can assure the public that the album would be launched soon. I urge all our
followers to continue supporting the group as we still have a lot to offer in
the music industry. This will not happen if we do not get the necessary support
from the public,” he said.
