MBABANE – Award -winning house music producer and deejay !Sooks, real name
Sukoluhle Dlamini, proves to be a force to be reckoned with yet again.
!Sooks began his journey at an early age when he became fascinated by African
music and synth sound creation music scene in 2016. He has since released and
worked on a great amount of music. Among his biggest achievements to date are
winning three awards in 2019, including Best Underground Record of the Year for
his song ‘Oasis’, Best Compilation Album for House Afrika Records Mzansi
House Vol.9 (which includes his debut album Symmetry) at the Dance Music Awards
South Africa (DMASA) and Best House Artist at the SWAMA  Awards in the country.
Proved
This has proved to be the tip of the iceburg for this internationally proclaimed
star, as he recently bagged a brand ambassadorship with Ballantines South
Africa, which is a scotish whisky brand big on liberating and being true to one
self. Speaking to this publication,!SOOKS expressed his excitement at the
opportunity to be collaborating with an internationally recognised  brand making
worldwide moves in the music industry. He further mentioned that his contract
with Ballantine’s would come to an end  in June 2022. He was excited to share
with us the news of his home coming debut at the MTN Bushfire festival as the
two ( MTN Bushfire and Ballantine’s) had joined forces to have the brand’s
sponsored stage (which will only have artists sponsored by the brand perform).
Confirmed
MTN Bushfire has already confirmed that !Sooks will be gracing the
Ballantine’s Firefly stage with his presence.
