Eswatini-born artist Celumusa Mkhaliphi has revealed that the video of his song titled ‘Tears’ has attracted worldwide attention as it stands at number two out of 523 other videos on the voting charts. His video was nominated in April this year for the London Music Video Festival (LMVF), which will take place today, virtually on the World Wide Web. Viewers can visit the London Music Video Festival webpage in order to be able to stream. Mkhaliphi will be representing the country at the festival dubbed ‘London Music Video Festival’. In an interview with the Entertainment Desk yesterday, the artist confirmed and further revealed that his song had received 321 votes. He also shared a screen shot of the list of votes, which showed that his song was sitting at number two. He shared that his song titled ‘Tears’ will be streamed during the festival in London. Opportunities “I am very excited to be part of such an initiative that will open so many opportunities for me and the local industry at large,” he said. The artist said the song was inspired by the number of violence cases in the country. “The song talks about human rights, human trafficking, women abuse and the killing of the vulnerable,” he said. When asked how he got the opportunity to showcase his craft with the rest of the world, he said a member of the LMVF approached him. “I was surprised; this member heard my song and approached me. I uploaded my song on YouTube and as God’s grace has it, it will be listened to by different people,” he said. Represent “This will be a stepping stone to my music career. I hope I will get something as I represent, the country,” he said. He went on to add that the platform would open a window of opportunities as he hoped to get sponsorships from the festival.
