MBABANE – Making lemonade out of lemons!
This is true for BKhz owned by Eswatini born artist Banele Khoza whose physical
exhibitions have been closed to the public and instead put up online on 3D.
Khoza revealed to the Entertainmnet Desk that his space had mostly been
online-driven where he reached his clients on social media, email and WhatsApp.
“In 2018 I realised the importance of 3D Virtual Tours as each exhibition
became permanent for as long as you had the link. For access, anyone and
everyone can have the delight of remaining informed. “Since not everyone is
able to make it to our sites of activation, bringing them to my supporters has
been a priority,” he added.

He said since they had done 3D tours for most of their shows they then came to
the realisation that exhibitions could be made permanent for as long as visitors
had the link. Since the implimentation of a lockdown in neighbouring South
Africa due to the coronavirus pandemic, Khoza is part of the forward thinkers in
as far as visual artists embrace 3D tour technology to maximise their
geographical reach. ‘Blue Is the Warmest Colour’ is one of the latest group
shows which he curated and installed behind closed doors at his Braamfontein
Gallery in Johannesburg.
According to Khoza, the show includes both emerging and well established artists
whom he also featured in his February show in Woodstock, Cape Town. Anyone who
