He revealed that he was currently in Johannesburg, South Africa working on the album with three of South Africa’s biggest maskandi music stars. Abafana bakaMgqumeni are related and once worked with the controversial maskandi musician, Mgqumeni, who was rumoured to have risen from the dead back in 2012. It was gathered by this publication that the said artist passed away on November 19, 2009, however, a bogus artist who wanted to gain fame using his name claimed that he was a risen version of Mgqumeni. Abafana bakaMgqumeni hold an award for ‘Best Maskandi Album’ in the 14th edition of the prestigious South African Traditional Music Awards which were held in September 2019. They are also well known for their song titled ‘iLove Back’. Senzo ‘Ntencane’ Zondo is a South African Maskandi singer whose music has made waves in the neighbouring country’s entertainment scene as it was the crossover song for 2019 on Ukhozi FM. He is signed under Ntencane Music, which is a label he founded. topping He is well known for his chart topping track titled ‘Uboya eNkomeni’. Bobo Mfanawepiki has a career spanning over three years as he started his music in 2017 and has gone on to release over 15 songs. His hit songs include ‘Buyani bantabami’and ‘Msakazi’. The artists will be working on the album that is set to be released early in June 2020. In an interview with the publication, the musician said he was thrilled to be working with the award winning South African musicians. Cembeles’calaba said they started working on the album about two weeks ago which would make this his second album. collaboration He has three albums under his belt; however two of them would be his solo acts. He mentioned that his first album was a collaboration between him and a group of other artists he led. The album was named ‘Ama 97’ which was named after the year they were each born in while the second was self titled. “I have chosen to work with these artists because they are well known in South Africa and some of them have won awards with the SATMA,” he said. He revealed that fans should expect fire from the album which will inspire them with words of encouragement, as they touch on life issues.
