Manaka Ranaka, popularly known as Lucy Diale from South African soap opera Generation The Legacy, will be, for the first time in the country MC-ing a gospel show by Eswatini renowned gospel artist Phiwokwakhe Dlamini. Dubbed ‘Worship Night with Phiwokwakhe and Friends’ and hosted in collaboration with Phiwokwakhe Communications, the show is set to take place on October 12 at Princess Pholile Hall in Malkerns where the South African star will be laying out the proceedings of the night. Dlamini, the man of the night, confirmed this in an interview, saying that Ranaka jumped to the offer as they are close friends in. “She has never been to the country and this was her opportunity to grace Eswatini,” said Dlamini. He highlighted, however, contracted issues between him and Ranaka were being finalised. “She is on board and our mission is to win more souls for God,” he emphasised. Contrary to popular belief, because of her role in Generations The Legacy, Ranaka is a born again Christian and is excited with her role of being an MC in a gospel music show. Other acts featured in the line-up are South Africa’s Prophet Mathebula, Sprit of Praise’s Nondumiso Nhleko, South Africa’s Khaya Sikhosana, Frans Dlamini, Scara Maziya and many more. General tickets cost E70 and E150 for the VIP. Manaka Ranaka was born on 6th April 1979. She is a South African actress most famous for her role as Lucy Diale, the mother of Namhla Diale (Thulisile Phongolo) on the soap ie Generations. She is the sister to South African Radio Deejay, Actress and TV Presenter Dineo Ranaka.
