On Saturday, the Rotary Club Swaziland hosted about 20 different restaurants for the ‘Taste of Swaziland’ food and drink Festival which was held at House on Fire. The 20 restaurants cooked meals that were sampled by guests at discounted prices compared to the regular prices that they get to pay when they decide to eat out at these eateries. Plates of food were sold from as little as E10. event was an ideal family affair where food lovers came with their beloved to enjoy sampling dishes that were sold on the day. Food that was served was not only limited to just traditional meals as there were different stalls featuring much loved and old favourite food meals from famous eateries in the kingdom. There were different kinds of food stalls scattered around House on Fire presenting their mouthwatering signature dishes that people got to sample. At some stalls, the chefs would now and again demonstrate a few exotic cooking techniques right in front of food lovers. Automatically Food coupons were available upon entry, where food lovers paid E60 and automatically got themselves coupons to use on purchase on any item that they found interesting. This day was a celebration of food in the kingdom comprised in a full day event that saw over 300 food lovers enjoy exquisite food, good fun and each other’s company. The event was entirely organised by the Rotary Club of Malkerns with other major sponsors. Through this day, the Rotary Club aims to raise funds to finance their successful mentorship programme ‘Hawane Project’ for disadvantaged adolescents and children with HIV. Rotary Club employees were going around fun lovers’ tables selling raffle draw tickets that will take place sometime this week where revellers will get a chance to win themselves prices of spending a night or two with their loved ones in one of Eswatini leading exquisite hotels. The show ended with a bang as fun lovers kept commanding the DJ not to stop playing some music which they danced to.
