MBABANE – Having chosen the top 20 to take on the journey towards competing to
perform at this year’s MTN BUSHFIRE Pulse Firefly stage, the public is now
encouraged to vote for their favourite artist as voting lines are officially
open.
The MTN BUSHFIRE Pulse Firefly segment is a music space with no limitations
designed for the youth of Eswatini to share their musical creativity, lyrical
authenticity and to encourage freedom of expression through their music.
This platform is a gateway for local artists to share their music on a global
stage. In its third year of existence, Firefly has positively contributed
towards the growth and quality of music being developed by local young artists.
Fans are encouraged to vote for their favourite artists, after listening to the
Top 20 songs on Sound Cloud (MTN BUSHFIRE Pulse Firefly) and SMS their name to
2010 (MTN Eswatini cellphone numbers).

The top 10 artists with the highest number of SMS votes will perform at The
Sound Storm Finale, where they will battle it out for the Top 3 spots to perform
at the MTN BUSHFIRE Festival 2019.
This was confirmed by Penny Bouwer, who is MTN BUSHFIRE Pulse Firefly’s
publicist.
Bouwer further said MTN BUSHFIRE, in partnership with Title sponsor MTN
Eswatini, was also giving away tickets to fans with the most votes submitted.
Therefore supporters are encouraged to vote more to increase their chance of
winning MTN Bushfire 2019 tickets.

“The Top 10 artists will be announced on the fifth of April for the last leg
of the competition and the Sound Storm finale scheduled for the first week of
May. The finale will see the top three winners being announced who will all win
a slot to perform on the highly sought after MTN Bushfire Pulse Firefly
stage,” added Bouwer.
