MBABANE – The MVA Fund has given people from the Lubombo Region a reason to
put on their dancing shoes.
The Fund will hit the streets of Siteki, specifically the bus rank, to launch
their mobile office. They will not be alone as they will be armed with
heavyweights of the performing stage in South African legendary group, Soul
Brothers and local gospel giant Shongwe and Khuphuka.
What is even more exciting for followers of these successful bands is that they
will get to watch them for free. The main objective of the event is to conduct
the first activation of the mobile office which is aimed at catering for
communities situated far away from the Fund’s head offices.
Speaking on behalf of the Fund, Makhosi Magongo said they were excited to have
secured the services of Soul Brothers to render entertainment for the better
part of the day while they attend to issues such as the claims and also helping
those who will be interested in lodging fresh claims.
The event is set to take place on October 20 and 21. Magongo added that the
launch would start at 9am and is expected to be concluded at 4pm for both days.

“We invite the public to attend as they will get assisted on their claims. We
chose these groups because they represent different genres which will cater for
our customers. The public will surely be entertained while they also get to know
more about our services,” he said.
The celebrated Mbaqanga kings, fresh from rocking the stage in the country
during their solid performance at this year’s Eswatini Biggest Braai, promised
an energetic performance on the day.
“We are ready for our fans in Eswatini. We will do what we know best. It is
always exciting performing for our fans from Eswatini,” Moses Ngwenya said.
Founder and lead singer of Shongwe and Khuphuka, Reverend Elias Shongwe, also
promised a spirited performance.
The award-winning Mbaqanga outfit, known for electrifying performances and songs
rich with educational composition, recently released a sizzling album titled
“Umdeni Wami” following the death of lead vocalist David Masondo in 2015.
The group has also released a book titled ‘The Life and Times of Soul
Brothers’ narrated through the eyes of remaining band founder, Moses Ngwenya.
