Times Of Swaziland: ‘NKALAKATHA’ PRODUCER’S INTEREST IN M.TRIGGERSON’S MUSIC ‘NKALAKATHA’ PRODUCER’S INTEREST IN M.TRIGGERSON’S MUSIC ================================================================================ BY PHUMELELE MKHONTA on 06/09/2018 23:13:00 MBABANE – If you are good at what you do, recognition from respected entities or personas is bound to happen. After listening to reggae and dance hall artist M. Triggerson’s ‘Testifyr’, South Africa music composer and producer Gabi Le Roux expressed deep interest in working with the Eswatini artist. Le Roux is the same man who produced ‘Nkalakatha’, a song by the South African legendary kwaito star Mandoza, who passed away in 2016. ‘Testifyr’, the song that attracted Le Roux’s attention was released early this year and its video is due to be premiered this month. Le Roux’s letter, which is in this publication’s possession states that the producer really loves M. Triggerson’s work. “I would really love to get involved with him one way or the other as a producer or composer. If interested, let us take the conversation forward,” reads the letter from Le Roux. M. Triggerson’s management team member Gino Kash said such recognition is humbling. “It is very overwhelming to be recognised by such key players as Gabi Le Roux, who is one of the prolific producers and composers. “At the same time I am not surprised because it’s always the case that the talented always get spotted. As I always tell people that M.Triggerson is by far one of the best recording and performing artists in Ewatini,” said Kash. M.Triggerson has been invited to Le Roux’s studio in Cape Town to work on a song with the renowned global producer/composer.
