Times Of Swaziland: INTO MUSIC SOCIETY OPENS ‘THE JAZZ GALLERY’ INTO MUSIC SOCIETY OPENS ‘THE JAZZ GALLERY’ ================================================================================ BY PHUMELELE MKHONTA on 05/07/2018 01:42:00 MBABANE – If people embrace it, why not give it tangibility! Into Music Society has giving Eswatini jazz music lovers the opportunity to savour music by forming a jazz club known as The Jazz Gallery. The Jazz Gallery is located at the Eswatini Theatre Club in Mbabane and it was officially launched last Friday at a show dubbed ‘The Lebo Mabe Quintet’ headlined by South African born trumpeter Lebo Mabe, who brought out the best in local acts. Into Music Society’s Nelisa Lawton confirmed that they have established The Jazz Gallery which will be a wing of Into Music Society. The Jazz Gallery will be used for their jazz concerts only. Lawton clearly stated that the venue will not be an everyday relaxation spot. Concerts “We will only use the venue for our concerts meaning that it might be quiet on some weekends. Also, it will not be open during the week,” she said. Currently, Into Music Society is training four young jazz artists who will also be entertaining music during their concerts at The Jazz Gallery. These young talented instrumentalists will have the opportunity to perform alongside international acts. “We advise other aspiring musicians to join us for training but they should also have their own instruments so they can practice even when at home. “A talent is perfected by everyday practice,” said Lawton.
