Adding to the latest local artists who are releasing singles, trumpet player and vocalist Fakazi Samuels has also released a single titled ‘Umusa Wa Jesu’. The song was released on June 4, 2018 and is one of the singles from his upcoming album titled ‘Sabela’, which was recorded live at Mbabane Free Assemblies. Speaking in regards to his new single Samuels quoted the Bible, saying, “Galatians 3: 13-15 reveals that Christ paid the price to free us from the curse that the laws of Moses’ Teachings bring, by becoming cursed instead of us. Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed.” He further said through reading the scripture it brought to his attention that Christ paid the price so that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to all the people of the world through Jesus Christ. This inspired him to write the song ‘Umusa Wa Jesu’. Amazing “It’s a call to all God’s people to accept the amazing grace of the Lord while it’s still available. On the cross Christ Jesus paid it all that had to do with us being condemned eternally,” said Samuels. Samuels is a born again child of God who fellowships at Mbabane Free Evangelical Assemblies. He started his music journey in 2010 with his first band called G-Light, moved to be part of his church band Praise Unlimited. He has worked with a number of local artists which include Nduduzo Matse, Linda Dlamini, Harmony Trinity, Sunshine Em, Frans Dlamini, Symphony, Amanda Mo and many more.
