Times Of Swaziland: MISS SD 2ND PRINCESS WINS HONOURARY PRESIDENTIAL AWARD MISS SD 2ND PRINCESS WINS HONOURARY PRESIDENTIAL AWARD ================================================================================ BY PHUMELELE MKHONTA on 08/12/2017 01:05:00 MBABANE – She may not have won the crown but she came home with the Presidential honourary award. This is Miss Swaziland Second Princess Baby Mthimkhulu, who was honoured with the Presidential Award during the Miss University Africa contest which was held in Nigeria last weekend. Only three out of the 52 contestants got this award from Taylor Nazzal, the President of Miss University Africa. According to Mthimkhulu, this honourary gesture was awarded to the girls who were major team players and shone during the team building sessions which were ongoing before the actual pageant. “We were with the President the whole time during our stay in Nigeria. He got to know us personally and this is when I think he got to assess us according to the scale that they use. I got this award at the end of the pageant,” said Mthimkhulu. Despite not landing any another significant prize, the beauty confessed that she was proud of this recognition award, and of her whole experience in Nigeria. Mthimkhulu follows in the steps of Phiwayinkhosi Tchangela, the Swazi who won Ms Africa 2017/2018 a month ago. “The fact that I was chosen out of the other 52 contestants means the President saw something in me and I value that,” she said. She also said that this trip was a learning curve for her. “As much as I did not get the ultimate prize, I am proud that I got the experience that I did. They taught us to believe, love and accept ourselves. We were also taught about the importance of education.
