Kwakha Indvodza is proving for the third time this year that roping in key players in the local entertainment industry in sending across messages is key. Kwakha Indvodza is hosting the third edition of The Arts against Abuse Concert this year, and it is set for tomorrow at Woodlands in Ezulwini. Concert The show will start at 7pm. This concert commemorates the 16 days of activism against gender based violence. They partnered with The American Embassy which fully supports this initiative. Entertainers for this year’s concert will include Sands, Floewe, Qibho Intalektual, Dzeli the Poet, and Honest Mhlanga and many others. Phila Dlamini, who is also known as Ph.D, will be the MC for the night. Tom Churchyard, Kwakha Indvodza’s Executive Director, said that this event has gained recognition and it has grown. “The Arts Against Abuse Concert will be the flagship event for the campaign. We seek to work with local musicians, artists, and fashion designers to produce a mixed media show that will create a space and dialogue to discuss violence, especially against women and girls and its effects on our society. As expected, over the last three years the concert has grown and Kwakha Indvodza is taking it to a bigger venue to accommodate such growth. This year’s concert is looking at over 400 people coming from around Swaziland and neighbouring countries,” he said. “Everyone is welcome and it is absolutely free!
