Times Of Swaziland: THE END OF SIYINQABA DUO THE END OF SIYINQABA DUO ================================================================================ BY NONDUMISO MSIBI on 13/10/2017 00:20:00 MBABANE – All good things come to an end. The Siyinqaba brand has been a buzz word for almost ten years now, in the kingdom and across the border. Made up by two artists, both brilliant in their own right, and each with their own strengths, the brand has grown in leaps and bounds in the past decade, with many citing it as being “Advanced well beyond it’s time.” Dissolution So it’s with a tone of bitter-sweetness that this ‘dissolution’ is announced. The group made waves with their hit song ‘Gwayimane’ which became a national anthem among hip hop and afro soul music lovers. While the group is not completely being abandoned, the brand is being given a break for now, to allow the individual artists, Mozaik and KrTc, to focus on their solo careers. Confirmed This was confirmed by Mozaik’s management team who emphasised that it was time for the Mozaik brand to grow and flourish, and the first step for this to effectively take place involves the artist leaving the Siyinqaba ‘nest’, confirmed his team. So what’s in store for Mozaik as a solo artist? “Lots!” responded the ever-energetic creative producer. The Reason tour scheduled to take place on October 29 at Emfuleni Lifestyle will be the perfect platform for Mozaik supporters to experience Mozaik as a solo artist and performer, said the artist. Guaranteed With a cover charge of E50, patrons are guaranteed a hip hop experience like no other. Mozaik has been in studio day and night preparing new material that will showcase his abilities as a song writer, producer, and a performer. His team believes that the producers capabilities know no bounds with regards to his creativity, and this new material will be testament to his continuous growth over the years as an individual artist. Collaborated Mozaik has collaborated with numerous artists over the years, both in Swaziland and internationally, so this new material will highlight his individual strengths as an artist and producer. KrTc on the other hand has been hard at work with his brand and has recently performed at Eyadini Lounge in Durban where he was performing in front of thousands that had come to be part of the Durban Swazi Party.
