Times Of Swaziland: GOSPEL STAR SIPHO NGWENYA REPORTED TO POLICE GOSPEL STAR SIPHO NGWENYA REPORTED TO POLICE ================================================================================ BY NHLANHLA MATHUNJWA on 13/09/2017 03:58:00 MBABANE – It seems more problems are following the ‘Jesu Ufikekuseni’ hit maker. South African gospel artist Sipho Ngwenya has since been reported to the Royal Swaziland police by local gospel artist Linda Dlamini. This comes after Ngwenya’s failure to perform during Linda’s live recording held at the Woodlands Hall last Saturday. Ngwenya arrived two days before the show but disappeared mysteriously on the morning of the main show. Information gathered is that Linda visited the Lobamba Police Station where he reported Ngwenya. Concern The Entertainment Desk can confirm that the police are investigating the matter, as Linda’s main concern was that he fully paid Ngwenya E16 000. Linda claims that he had done everything to make sure that the artist attends the show. He also handed over the proof of payment to the police. Linda confirmed that he had asked for the assistance of the police as he feels betrayed by Ngwenya. He said what was painful is the fact that Ngwenya left the country without informing him that he would be leaving. “I had no other option but to report the matter to the police. I gave them all the information and the proof of payment,” he said. Dlamini said the police promised to investigate the matter and added that he will wait for their report. He said most people were now thinking that he had not paid Ngwenya and it was the reason why he had not attended the show. Shocked “Everything was done accordingly. I am still shocked and I do not understand why he decided to leave without informing me” he said. Asked on the matter of the performance permit, Linda was adamant that by Saturday all permit issues had been cleared. “The permit issue had been cleared by Saturday when he left and we were all set for show ,when he decided to drive back to South Africa,” claimed Dlamini. Linda said he was hoping that the police would continue with their investigations as he wants the truth to be revealed.
