The former MTN Joyous Celebration star gave the Prime Minister and David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, the Minister of Sport, Culture and Youth Affairs a copy of her new CD. Stanley Dlamini, the Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture (SNCAC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) also got a copy of the CD. Mbambo who shot to fame with her Zion style at MTN Joyous Celebration signed up with local stable, Umlilo Music which is under the leadership of Mduduzi ‘Gawuzela’ Simelane of Izinceku Zamagagwugawu. Released The album was released a week ago and is already receiving airplay in the various radio stations which include the Voice of The Church and the Swaziland Broadcasting and Information Services (SBIS). Songs in the album ‘Lishonile Ilanga’, ‘Labakhi’, ‘Thandanani’, ‘Lolothando’, ‘Jesu Wethu’, ‘Worthy’, ‘Mina Ngithemb’u Jesu’, ‘Imfuyo’ and ‘Umeli’. The others are ‘Sengenziwe’, ‘Izono’, ‘Ngifihlwe NguJesu’ and ‘Jesu Ungukukha’. All songs have been composed and arranged by Sphumelele while the album has been produced by Gawuzela. The SA star met with the minister and the CEO where she gave the CDs to them. She went on to ask the minister to give one to the PM. Before handing over the CDs, Mbambo thanked the Swaziland Government for supporting artists. She said each time she visits the country she feels the love and she has made Swaziland her second home. Mambo said it was one of the reasons why she decided to come and record an album in the country. Exciting “The support I have received is tremendous and it is exciting. I encourage my fans to continue supporting me. The album is out and it belongs to the whole nation,” she said. The minister thanked Mbambo for believe in the country’s artists. He said he has seeing the artist’s performance during the Crossover Festival organised by Umlilo Music and he has been impressed by her performance. “We pledge our support and we call upon all music lovers to also give you the needed support. We want to see you growing in the music industry,” he said.
