Times Of Swaziland: FSRA REJECTS 2 TENDER BIDS FSRA REJECTS 2 TENDER BIDS ================================================================================ BY ASHMOND NZIMA on 07/04/2021 07:30:00 MBABANE – Two companies had their bids rejected by the FSRA after reportedly submitting between three and seven minutes late. FSRA is the Financial Services Regulatory Authority and it has a mission to regulate and supervise financial services to protect stakeholders and foster a stable financial system in the country. In a notice about an intention to award a recruitment services contract to SNG Grant Thornton, the Authority, through CEO Ncamiso Ntshalintshali, reported that it received only one tender document (combination of technical and financial proposals) on time as specified in the Request for Proposals (RFP). In the notice, FSRA averred that two tenderers by the names of Umelusi Capital and AM Recruitment Services submitted after the 12pm deadline on February 15, 2021 and their documents were not considered. They allegedly submitted at 12:03pm and 12:07pm, respectively. Posted The intention to award notice was posted on the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) website. The information was posted as per Section 45 (3) (b) of the Public Procurement Act No.7 of 2011. Meanwhile, SNG Grant Thornton scored a high 96 per cent to provisionally win the race with a proposed contract price of E34 500 per position. “Following a competitive bidding process, notice is hereby given that a contract award decision has been reached by the approvals authority. “The contract award decision does not constitute a contract. All tenderers who submitted bids are hereby notified that a period of 10 working days is hereby allowed for submission of any application for reviews,” reads the posted information in part.
