Times Of Swaziland: SMART BRICK DEMANDS E489 000 FROM WILMO INVESTMENTS SMART BRICK DEMANDS E489 000 FROM WILMO INVESTMENTS ================================================================================ BY KWANELE DHLADHLA on 01/12/2017 04:46:00 MBABANE – Wilmo Investments has been taken to court by Smart Brick Tiles (Pty) Ltd who are demanding payment of E489 000 in respect of building material supplied to the former on credit. Allegations contained in summons whose veracity is yet to be determined by the court, it was claimed that in August 2012 in Manzini, Smart Brick Tiles, which was represented by Nelisiwe Simelane, entered into a verbal agreement with Wilmo Investment’s William Dlamini of Sigombeni to be provided with building material on credit. In the particulars of claim, it was alleged that material terms of the verbal agreement were to the effect that Smart Brick Tiles would supply the material as directed by Dlamini. Thereafter, an invoice would be issued for the building material supplied and payable within 30 days from the date of issue. It has been alleged that pursuant to the agreement, Smart Brick Tiles duly discharged their obligations by supplying the building material to the Wilmo Investments place of business in Manzini. “The defendants (Wilmo Investments) were paying their invoices in half and place orders for new building material without liquidating the outstanding debt. This has been going on for a while and the debt has accumulated,” it was alleged. It was claimed that Smart Brick Tiles thereafter issued an invoice for the building material supplied in the sum of E489 913.26 which was payable on or before July 31, 2017. It was alleged that in breach of the said agreement, Wilmo Investments had not paid the sum of E489 913.26 to Smart Brick Tiles for services rendered.
