WELCOME MR PM

Let me take this opportunity to welcome Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini to the position of Prime Minister. We believe that a new broom sweeps clean. I am also delighted that you have no political experience.

As a result, I see a person who comes clean, with no political skeletons in his closet, which may tend to show up during your reign in the honourable seat. I also pray that you will maintain your Christian faith.

This position is indeed challenging and it will also test your faith. I, however, believe that God has trusted you like Job and nothing will make you change your Christian values, not even the pressures of the seat you are now occupying.
I wish you all the success as I know that your success will mean the success of emaSwati.

Mandate

I know that this is your mandate, to take the country forward. If you succeed in doing so, all the people of this country will benefit. It will be a problem, Nkhosi, if you will then tend to discriminate against other people.

All the people of this country are the same and should be equal before you. The Constitution of this country is clear that no person should be discriminated against and I wish you will follow the dictates of the Constitution.
We have heard time and again that certain people are discriminated against in this country for certain reasons but mostly, due to one’s views politically and human rights have also been dragged into the same category. This I blame on ignorance on the distinction between human rights and politics.

This happens even though the Constitution speaks to the equality of people irrespective of whatever status they may possess.
We have seen certain leaders disregarding the Constitution, which makes a mockery of this important document and the country as a whole. Why would a country invest so much money in a document that certain individuals will then turn to disregard?

As you take to that office, you will have those who will consider themselves more close to you than your own skin. You must be wary of them because most do so to fulfil their own agendas. No person should be more close to you than your skin.

Motives

I would be saying close to you than your family but that position requires that at certain intervals you must also be wary, even of your close relatives because they may have ulterior motives.

Some will want to endear themselves to you by gossiping about others and speaking ill of them. I believe as a Christian you know what to do with those.
However, I pity you Nkhosi because as you assume your duties, you will find a country that is engulfed by economic problems. It is a problem which we anticipate you are going to solve. We will see the economy of the country growing tremendously under your leadership. You were able to steer a known organisation in the country to financial stability.

With that experience, we hope and believe that we will see the same results for the country. We hope that we will see corruption going down tremendously because it is corruption that has led the country to such problems. You have your work cut out for you to deal with people who have no respect for State resources.

What would greatly help you is that you appoint a Cabinet that will have integrity and be honest. Just avoid appointing your cronies because they are not going to give you the desired results.

Do appoint people who have the best interest of the country as a whole at heart. Appoint people who have the necessary skills to take the country forward. It should not be people who will only line their pockets and gallivant around the world on business that will not benefit the country.

Delivery

You must also think about the people who are the engines of the economy, think of civil servants who are the ones who will take service delivery to a better level once they are paid what they deserve.

A happy employee will deliver more than a demotivated employee. Engage leaders of the civil servants to find out what their views are. Make them understand the reasons why they are not being paid more than what they want.

With a clear explanation, these are mostly professionals who will understand if they know what your vision for the country is.
If only those who are close to you will benefit from State coffers yet civil servants are not getting rewarded for their job, then there will be problems. Again here you had your work cut out for you even before you got into office. Welcome Nkhosi and I believe you will take the country to great heights.
