The Council recently went into agreement with the studios by buying the recording hours for 21 days a month.
This, however, is set to benefit artists that subscribe under the Council and the various stakeholders, which include ACASWA and SWAMA.
SNCAC’s Chief Executive Officer Stanley Dlamini said they have identified recording studios around the country, which will allow the local musicians to record their material for almost free.

“These studios are Jamming House and The Vibe. We are also talking to Siteki Hotel to also have a studio there that will benefit artists around the Lubombo region while in Mbabane we will use the Theatre Club,” he said.

He further encouraged the artists’ fans to support the artists by watching them when they rehearse like it happens in other countries.
On another note SWAMA President and former Minister, Lutfo Dlamini, urged artists to seek professionalism in order to make it in the industry.
“The first step is to get managers so that people who want to book them can know where and how to find them,” he said.

He revealed that as an association they were working around having a group of sponsors whereby they will attach them to the artists.
“We are also in the process of creating a website for the local artists whereby they can upload their music, which will be accessible to the world,” he stated.

The event also featured performances from different artists and groups from around the country, which included the likes of Lodanda and Nomsa M.There was also a special performance by a Congolese group, which was accompanied by King of the Badundu people in Congo, King Shungu Fabrice Zomie.
