MBABANE – Little known disabled gospel artist Nhlanhla Mthethwa has been incorporated to perform alongside Benjamin Dube on Saturday.

This is after the Bishop requested that he wanted to perform alongside a disabled local artist during his show which will be held at Esibayeni Lodge.

ACASWA President Mhlonishwa Motsa confirmed that they have roped in Mthethwa who is an upcoming artist as they look to unearth new talent in as far as the local music industry is concerned.

Artists

“We are aware that people expected us to incorporate popular artists for the slot to play alongside Benjamin like Christ Worshippers in particular, but as an association we felt the need to give the platform to new artists hence the appointment of Mthethwa,” he said.

He also highlighted that the Bishop will arrive in the country on Friday and he will make time to personally sell tickets for his show at the Mbabane Plaza on Saturday morning. He stated that a ticket cost E200 each and he also highlighted that the VIP tickets have been sold out.

“People who are willing to buy tickets from the Bishop himself should come to the Plaza because we will be pushing the last batch of the tickets. People should also remember that there will be no payments for entry that will be done at the door.

Idol

Mthethwa said he was at a loss for words at the prospect of playing alongside his childhood idol and he just can’t wait for his historic day.
“When they first told me I could not believe it but since then I have been rehearsing to give the best set for the day,” he said.
He further thanked all those who contributed towards his selection.
