MBABANE – Swaziland National Arts and Culture (SNAC) is working on a proposal to incorporate Miss Cultural Heritage under its wing.

SNAC’s Chief Executive Officer, Stanley Dlamini confirmed that they have received a proposal from the Swaziland Beauty Pageants Association (SBPA) to have the Miss Heritage run by their office.

Finalised

“What I can say is that we have received the proposal but as of now we haven’t finalised anything,” he said.
Dlamini, however, said it is a fact that almost all the Miss Cultural Heritage’s projects are a reflection of all the policies or objectives of their office and that is why SBPA and the council saw it fit that such  a collaboration be made .

“What I need to clarify is that coming together will not necessarily mean that we are going to fund the pageant, but we will work together with companies that will show interest in running the pageant and sponsoring it ,” he stated.
He, however, reinstated the council’s dream to have all pageants be run by companies.

Positive

SBPA’s president Tony Dlamini stated that they have engaged SNAC about Miss Cultural being under their management and it was looking positive.
“It is still early to reveal that, but it is top of our agenda as we are evaluating all the pageants and the said pageant is currently without a Director since Nomcebo Mbambo resigned,” said Tony Dlamini.
