LUBULINI – Former Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors member Thabile Myeni joined the group on stage, mesmerising over 5 000 people.

This was during her brother Timothy Myeni’s election campaign show held at the Nsoko Sports Ground on Saturday.

Timothy, who is the leader of the country’s top gospel group, was canvassing for votes for the Secondary Elections scheduled for this Friday. Timothy hopes to be voted into Parliament as an MP once more for the next five years.

The show lasted for the better part of the day and night with other various gospel artists who entertained those in attendence. The show started at around 9am as there was also a soccer tournament that had been sponsored to the tune of E5 000 courtesy of the Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors leader. The siblings had not performed together for a while now after Thabile decided to go solo.

However, it was a different case on Saturday as Thabile joined the group on stage and sang a number of songs, leaving the over 5 000 people, most of whom seemed to be Timothy’s fans, yearning for more.

The group took the stage just after 2pm and performed for about two hours before another performance in the early hours of yesterday morning. As soon as Timothy went on stage, he asked that the sound system be connected accordingly as he wanted to stage a live performance. After everything had been sorted, he then called the group members to take the stage. Timothy then asked the people who attended the show to be patient as he was still waiting for Thabile to join him on stage, in less than five minutes Thabile went on stage and grabbed a microphone getting ready to sing.

Timothy took his regular position of keyboard player, and as soon as he started playing, there were screams all around the sports ground, with most people rushing forward to the stage. Some of them could not even wait for Thabile to sing as they started imitating her well before she uttered a word.

Thabile sang most of the songs she used to sing while still an active member of the group.
Despite that she has not been part of the group for some time, she did not disappoint as she sang all the songs accordingly, something that impressed the gospel music lovers.

Among other songs Thabile sang with the group include the famous song ‘Bakhiphe Moses’, a song that proved to be a hit. Other songs performed by the group include ‘Izulu Ikhaya Lami’ and ‘Uthando’. Indeed the group gave a performance that was appreciated by everyone.

By the time the group left the stage people still wanted more, especially after hearing Thabile’s voice. Timothy promised that the group would be back on stage and indeed it was the case in the early hours of yesterday as they spent about three hours on stage.
