MANZINI – The first comedy show hosted at the Jazz Gallery on Friday was a success.

Attended by a sizeable crowd, the event featured three talented comedians from South Africa who made sure that the patrons were entertained to the fullest.

The show, which was meant to start at 7pm, ended up kicking off after 8pm.
Opening the stage was local television personality, Mangaliso Masilela who is widely known in the entertainment circles as Efloe. He was the event’s MC and did not disappoint.

thrilled

He proved that he was destined to be the next best thing in the local comedy circles as he thrilled the audience with a few crazy jokes.
He then introduced the first South African comedian, Gee, whose less than 10 jokes were enough to drive the audience wild.
His jokes were mostly about himself and touched on his dark skin plus love relationships.

He was followed by his fellow countryman Themba Nhlapho who was indeed the night’s best comedian.
He kicked off his set with crazy vernacular lyrics which he sang along to beats of US star Drake’s popular song ‘Started from the Bottom’ and the audience just loved it.

It was very entertaining watching the pint-sized comedian dancing like a crazy teenager.
His jokes were more about his height, pastors, soccer, religion and South African politics.

Closing the show was the main man, Jay Boogie, who made sure that he made fun of almost all the men and women who were sitting at the front row. The rest of his jokes were a bit too naughty as they touched on sex and couples.
