MBABANE – The Leo Music Weekender hosted by DJ Crooks and Urban Elements’ DJ Tibza was a great success.

The three day event was a celebration of the two deep house spinners’ birthday which fall under the Leo star sign started on Thursday night at World Cafè. The event saw some of Swaziboy’s renowned entertainers come together to support their deep house spinners.

As per the norm the event saw the Mbabane lounging community come together to support the great event. DJ Tibza and Crooks were among the first spinners to perform on the night and were later followed by renowned spinner DJ Siyara who as always thrilled attendants with his amazing deep house selection.

For some reason most patrons seemed to be in quite an outgoing mood possibly because the police who normally shut the venue down at a certain time did not show up. As always the veteran spinner DJ Ntombz also outdid himself once again.

His selection was just amazing and he successfully kept the audience on their feet. His reggae, dancehall selection was just about what kept patrons on the dance floor. While other spinners focused on the regular genres the blend of reggae and dancehall with popular vocals made his selection stand out. ‘Give me one more night’ were words patrons were screaming out as well as tracks by Gyptian which took patrons on a musical journey and kept them dancing the night away.

Even the bartenders had a hard time begging some of the patrons to leave after the show was done.

Friday night saw the same crew performing at the popular Pub and Grill but this time around the line up had been added with spinners such as Steel, Earcandy’s MBO, Tempt, Siyara, Mistosoul and Dr P among others.

As always the venue was packed to capacity making it hard to get to the other end of the dance floor. It seemed that only the outdoor area was comfortable enough to sit and relax without the over congestion within the bar area. Undoubtedly the show was a great success as people were still dancing the night away after midnight.

“We are very happy with the turn out and how people supported the first of its kind collaboration between Crooks and myself ,” said Tibza.
Also seen at the Pub and Grill show was Tibza’s brother DJ Lungstar who seemed to be having a great time at the show which went on until the very late hours of Friday night.

To end the three day celebration the two deep house spinners took their party to the recently reopened Garden View Café in Manzini. The show was a bit more laid back and brought the World Café style of hanging out to Manzini. This time around the show also featured the much celebrated veteran  DJ Wicked.
