LIMUVA FESTIVAL TOP 10 BATTLE AT HOT BAR
MBABANE – The top 10 artists that are on a quest to win an opportunity to perform at the Limuva Arts Festival will be competing in front of judges tomorrow at The Hot Bar Restaurant.
The Limuva Arts Festival will be hosted at Pigg’s Peak Killarney Sports Ground on September 28. As recently reported, the festival is looking to give up-and-coming artists a chance to perform at the festival. This market is in search of an artist that will get to perform and get paid during the festival founded by Gqom musician M Nation.The search started two weeks ago, where 179 upcoming artists submitted their applications.
This was revealed by Ariel Empire, who is operating the search for the up-and-coming artist through their partnership with Limuva Arts Festival. “Different scoring strategies were used, now we are down to 10. The vision that comes with this assignment is to expose young, talented musicians. The Top 10 finalists include the likes of Bengura, Ntshakzin, Yazy, Daily N, CoolDrop, Master L and Cado, Mr Nycone, Lilbebz the best, Coolboy the vocalist, and Emagagu,” reads a statement from Ariel Empire.
During the battle at The Hot Bar this weekend, for a finalist to win, they have to impress the audience and panel of judges that include the likes of Epic Gig Director Tammy Toxik Dlamini, University of Eswatini (UNESWA) Radio Host and Producer Chester Maphalala and Event Organiser Berry Taruvingira. The night will also have the likes of Limuva Arts Festival Director M Nation, who will perform on the day, Ariel Empire’s Sancheziey, and Milton B.
According to Sancheziey, who is the founder of Ariel Empire, they are excited about the competition and they are grateful for the opportunity given to them by M Nation. “The search is coming to an end, we are excited about the data collected, the impact created, and the networking channels that got created as we were working towards the finale. We extend our sincere appreciation to M Nation Foundation, True Classic, and The Hot Bar for believing in the concept: Unearthing new talent,” Sancheziey said.
