MBABANE – Eswatini will host the 2025 Miss Culture International following a partnership between the international pageant and Creativity Platform Studios.

This was revealed by Creativity Platform Studios Founder, Nerville Johnson. According to Johnson, the proposal to host this pageant comes after Eswatini scooped the second position in their competition, which was held in Johannesburg this year in April. The second position was won by Noncedo Mamba, who was also crowned Second Princess in last year’s Miss Cultural Heritage, alongside Melinda Mavuso, who was crowned queen and Nomphumelelo Matsebula, who was crowned First Princess.

All along, Miss Culture International was hosted in South Africa, where local models had to travel to the rainbow nation to participate in the pageant competition. Creativity Platform and Miss Culture International will have a meeting in December to plan for the event. This is where sponsors would be invited to come and make their pledges and contributions,  however, they can indicate their potential assistance from now on. Creativity Platform has done a lot with Miss Culture International, they have visited some schools to motivate and empower young people as they grow up.

The organisation has also visited SOS Children’s Village to donate some clothes and money towards destitute children. The organisation will also host a Christmas Fashion Show, where it will highlight some of the achievements that the organisation has received since its formation in 2018. During an interview with Johnson, he shared they were excited and looking forward to bringing the prestigious pageant to the kingdom. “As an organisation, we are very excited to be the vehicle for this historic event.

International

We are used to hosting indigenous African music festivals and Christmas fashion shows, but Miss Culture International is a very big event. It’s a challenge more so because we don’t have income generating projects and sustainable sponsors and thus we hope the nation at large will join hands with us to drive this vehicle to the right destination.  We received the call to host the event last week and have agreed to sign a contract for hosting this event,” Johnson said. When asked what benefits the hosting of the pageant will bring to the kingdom, he cited it will enhance the economy.

“We believe this event will play a role in enhancing our economy because we will be hosting visitors from other countries We also hope to share our cultural values and experience with other countries and make sustainable partnerships that will have reliable benefits. We also look forward to young girls being empowered in such an event and also getting the opportunity to mingle with models outside the country. Miss Culture International is going to market our country since the visitors will get first-hand experience and will then market it to their counterpart,” he said.

According to a press statement from Creativity Platform Studios sent to this publication, they are looking for sponsors to offer services such as venue and incentives as they prepare to host the pageant in the kingdom. “We would love to ask any potential sponsors to help us in preparation to host this event.  We ask companies, organisations, businesses and any individual to help us in any possible way.  We are looking for sponsors for venue, sound, accommodation, transport and incentives for participants, touring costs and many more. So anyone who wishes to help us is welcome.

Anyone willing to help can call us at 7604 2214/7904 2214 or send an email to johnsonnerville@gmail.com,” reads the statement. Top Models Eswatini, is a modelling agency behind the success of this agreement to host the pageant in the kingdom. It was founded by Mbalenhle Manana and they are calling on the government to assist Creativity Platform Studios in hosting the pageant competition. “We played a very important role in giving advice and ideas as we worked towards this event. We also invite our local government to assist us since we are working at an international level and need their assistance. At the moment, Creativity Platform is not affiliated with the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture, due to a few challenges. The organisation is making some consultation and research about the policies of this wing,” Manana said.
