UNCLE WAFFLES CONFIRMS POP SUNDAY PERFORMANCE

MBABANE – ‘‘I am excited to stop by home.”

Yesterday the Entertainment Desk managed to get confirmation from International Amapiano star, Uncle Waffles for her up-coming performance in the country at Pop Sunday at Albert Millin in Mbabane on Sunday. The artist shared with this publication that she was happy to make a stop home. ‘‘I am excited to stop by home.’’ She further spoke about her recent USA tour where she said, “Touring can make you lose a bit of reality so coming back to rock where I first started, feels amazing.”

Uncle Waffles is one of the biggest Amapiano exports. Born Lungelihle Zwane, she has been on tour the in US. The tour is dubbed USA Tour 2023 Second Times a Charm. The tour began on April 14, she also, three weeks ago, performed at the Coachella Festival. It will end on June 17 where she will perform at the Summer Fest at Hyde Park in Chicago. The tour which spans over 200 days, kicked off in the United States, the land of the free, which is a fitting location for a musician known for her soulful, liberating music. Uncle Waffles has been making waves in the Amapiano scene with her unique blend of dance, deejaying and live performances. Also ,after her stellar performance at Coachella, Uncle Waffles was announced as part of the top three Best Coachella sets, where she was named alongside international musicians Metro Boomin as well as Labrinth. Leland Tyler Wayne, known professionally as Metro Boomin, is an American record producer, record executive, and DJ.

Uncle Waffle’s Red Dragon partnered with Pop Sunday and the superstar is set to perform there this weekend. When speaking on the event, one of the organisers, M Kay, shared that they would be happy with hosting yet another event and were looking forward to it being bigger and better. Activities on the day include soccer games, ping pong, slides and spin the wheels and many more activities for the whole family. The event is also include stalls such as the popular Sundeck mock tail stall and the Kota station. The event has been held for over 11 editions seeing fun lovers flock in where it has always been held since its inception.
