MBABANE – The public has been assured of tight security for the crossover scheduled for Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre tomorrow.

Yiba Nemusa Simakadze Crossover event is presented by Kufeziwe Communications, which is a local entertainment stable. This event will feature South African giant musicians in Rebecca Malope and Thinah Zungu as well as local artists such as Nduduzo Matse, Nothando Dlamini, Siphofaneni Member of Parliament (MP) LaZwide, Ndawonye Christ Worshippers, Shongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group as well as Phathwakahle, to name a few. The event comes as a call to the entire Christian fraternity to crossover to 2023 in prayer for the nation. The organisers have roped in the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) and security companies to ensure that the event runs smoothly as planned. This was revealed by the Public Relations Officer of Kufeziwe Communications, Siya Sukati.

“We have engaged the police for support, they will assess the venue and also the gate where gate takings will be done. We have acquired the services of about two security companies who will be assisting us on the ground. We are currently having a meeting with them so we can assure emaSwati that we have tried our best to actually reinforce security. “We will be vigilant at the search point at the entrance, and very cautious as we are determined to minimise at all costs any entrance of any weapon that can disturb the happiness of emaSwati,” Sukati said.

Planning

He went on to emphasise that this was a Christian event and they were planning for it to be a peaceful event. “We all know that this is a Christian event and we just need it to be as peaceful as possible. Even though we know that it is not a level field, but we are trusting God that people will adhere to the common cause, which is to pray and praise the Lord together,” Sukati emphasised.

He further promised emaSwati that they were trying their best to maintain communication with the artists set to perform during the show and people should get ready to be thrilled.  Paramedics and fire services had already been tasked to be present at the venue to assist Gospel lovers when needed.
According to Sukati they are still looking for vendors who will come and sell thier wares during the event, but only a limited space was available.
“We are still looking for people who will be selling drinks, but obviously we are not entertaining alcohol.

There are other food stalls which have already claimed space so we only have few stalls left for people interested in selling snacks and food. In case of emergencies we have been strategically open with the site manager,” said Sukati. The crossover is set to begin at 6pm until 6am. Tickets to the show cost E100.
