CLEOPATRA NOMINATED IN 3 US CATEGORIES

After bagging multiple nominations at the annual Texas Sounds International Country Music awards, Eswatini country music singing sensation Cleopatra Methula will jet off to the United States of America (US) on October 4, this year. Popularly known as ‘Misses Roses’, Cleopatra has been nominated in three categories namely; Song of the Year for her 2021 hit single ‘I’m a fighter’; Country Artist of the Year; and Songwriter of the Year. Methula is one of the few female country musicians from Africa to achieve such a feat, and to bag international recognition at the awards, especially because she’s the only female from the country to be nominated.

The Texas Sounds International Country Music Awards 2022 will begin from October 13 and run fun for two days.  The awards ceremony will kick-off with performances from country musicians coming from all over the world. The actual award ceremony is set to take place on Sunday, October 16. The event brings together America’s biggest Country music expects, chart-topping artists from around the world to perform at the show. Three exciting nights of competitive performances with five to seven acts each night, with a new set of performers every night. Texas Sounds is unique and a world-class event right in Marshall, Memorial City Hall. The luxurious theater seats 552 on the main floor and balcony.

The artist has won awards outside of the country before, she won back in 2019, Texas Sounds International Double Award. In the same year, she won two awards at the Texas Sounds International Country Music Awards; ‘Best International Rising Country Star Award’ and ‘Best International Duo’ for her collaboration with Temlandvo ‘Miss T’ Methula.  She also won a South African Country Music Award. When reached for comment the songstress said, “Many thanks for the warm congratulations pouring from all my friends in music and fans. I really feel honoured and humbled to be recognised once again on international stage, which just gets bigger every year,” said Cleopatra. The artist also shared that she will be partaking in radio and TV interviews while in the US. Mthula concluded by saying that; “I am thankful that my latest single ‘I’m a Fighter’ made its way to international radio stations, including the 923FM, a famous radio station in Texas. This is the same song that opened the opportunity of being nominated,” she said.
